By Hardy Kenwright

Officers Ascend to New Heights
No, I am not describing a Staff outing on Lookout Mountain. M.G. Paul De Krackere has made a series of promotions in consequence to numerous new positions which have been created with the departure of many of the ‘Three-year’ Volunteers and arrival of the reinforcements.

The planned inter regimental musical chairs championship was cancelled
on advice form the Iowan Brigade's Health & Safety Officer

Regimental Officers Side-stepping to new Units
Col. Adnin B. Underwood
Col. Buck Shott
Col. Terry Dactore
Col. Marc Discarde
Lt. Col. Lars Torders

Promotion without change in Rank
Lt. Col. Maurice Orkurry, (who covered for Col. Orland Smith whilst he led the Brigade during B.G. Barlow’s recovery), deservedly gets his own Regiment.

Promotions with change in Rank
Lt. Trigger Knometry is promoted to Captain.
Lt. Chuck Shottwell is promoted to Captain.
Lt. Izzy Inreinge is promoted to Captain.

M.G. Paul De Krackere is looking forward to a winter of hard work as the new look 2nd Division absorb and train the new influx of Volunteers and get into shape for the campaigns ahead in 1864. Will 64 see the end of the War?
